


Katie is building something unique - a team of alternative hair & makeup artists for brides that want to ditch the soft glam and look like themselves for their wedding day.
Her previous brand was something she threw together on Canva, so she came to me because she was ready for a brand that told a different story.
She wanted something that felt luxurious and elegant, but also gothic and vampiric.
That's exactly what I did.









The crimson fatale
Every good brand starts with a concept. For Katie Gale's Unconventional Collective, I dreamed up a vision that feels timeless and resonate.
"The moonlight streams through the tall gothic windows of her mansion, brushing against velvet curtains and glinting off crystal chandeliers. You can hear heels soft against marble and the low hum of a record player echoing from the parlor. The scent of red wine, roses, and candle smoke hangs in the air. It’s feminine, luxurious, edgy, and gothic."

Katie regularly attends wedding vendor fairs and asked for a stunning flyer to hand out. I photographed and color-graded the gold frame featured on her flyer - it's one that hangs in my office.

She mentioned that business cards had never been successful for her in the past. So, I offered up a new idea: A gold foil art print that her audience can admire on their walls. They'll never forget her business!

The work Katie Gale's Unconventional Collective does is hands-on...literally! They sit face-to-face with with brides on their most anticipated day.
Because of that, the brand needs to feel tangible, even when it's digital. I included textural elements such as paper and fabric textures, and recognizable graphics like gold frames and a cherry-red wax seal.

The brand posts a ton of beautiful photographs that showcase each artist's work. But Katie is creating a lifestyle brand, so Instagram templates that allow her to connect directly with her alternative audience were a must.
